Aunt Martha ExperienceI feel that I can say, without contradiction, that ‘Aunt Martha’s is unique’ - click on the picture to hear about what is on offerIt is a step back in time to 1897, the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. You are part of the upper echelons of Victorian society and treated accordingly. The staff all know their place and are treated accordingly, so do not be surprised. There are currently 4 areas in which you could dine:The Main Dining roomThe Oriental RoomThe Egyptian RoomThe GardensFrom the over 200 reviews on TripAdvisor I will let just two customers explain:
Wonderful place, we visited for afternoon tea and were delighted. Service by the period costumed staff was faultless, and the food......!! All prepared on site and all superb. I didn't realise there were so many types of tea, take a chance and step away from 'English breakfast tea' you won't regret it.
Lovely experience which we will certainly repeat.
In addition to being Wheelchair friendlyI am very pleased to announce that Aunt Martha’s is officially a Dementia Friend with the staff having recently received training.
You have got to experience this place
Booked for cream teas. This is not only a Victorian themed place but the staff all act the part. it is very unusual - you go back in time! All the food is home made/baked, and is really nice. After leaving Aunt Martha's, we were still talking about the place hours later. It's an experience!
For those who suffer with dementia, the setting and facilities provided here are very beneficial and comforting for all concerned, as it is a ‘Trip down memory lane’
