Those who know me will know that I am always thinking. My desire is always to provide the best experiences for my patrons. I have created the Oriental Tea Pagoda, now joined by the Ancient Egyptian Temple where, in recognition of their support the Duke & Duchess of Leeds have been immortalised within the decorations adorning the room.
My latest musings have been how can I help in the rejuvenation of making tea our national beverage again?
Tea has been our nations beverage of choice for over 300 years, and we British have gained a reputation for our tea drinking.
- If there is a disaster – Put the kettle on and have a cup of tea
- if there is something to celebrate – put the kettle on and have a cup of tea
- If you are feeling down – put the kettle on and have a cup of tea
- Family or friends call around – put the kettle on and have a cup of tea
We know it will do what it needs to do – produce a calming atmosphere, but tea has suffered over the last 100 years with two world wars and rationing serving to change habits and reduce tea from a luxury drink to savour and enjoy to one just being hot & wet.
But a revolution has begun, lead by the National Tea Day organisation, to return tea drinking to its former glory and so many new tea companies are producing teas of such variety. In addition there is a scientific understanding to prove that choosing the right tea can cheer you up, give you energy, calm you down, invigorate you, help with your health.
To aid this campaign I have thought of another benefit—Giving a helping hand - so if you wish to read more follow this link or
